Trust Him With the Next Step
When God calls us forward, He doesn’t always show us the entire plan. In 1 Kings 17:8–16, Elijah leaves the dried-up brook and follows God into unfamiliar territory, where he meets a widow with barely enough flour and oil for one final meal.
Both Elijah and the widow are challenged to obey before they can see how God will provide. Through their story, we learn that faith isn’t having every answer or knowing the outcome. It’s trusting God enough to take the next step with what He has already placed in our hands.
God’s provision doesn’t always arrive all at once. Sometimes He gives us just enough for today and asks us to trust Him again tomorrow. When we surrender our plans, fears, and limited resources to Him, we can trust the God who calls us to also provide what we need along the way.
