When the Brook Runs Dry
What happens when you follow God faithfully, yet the provision you depended on suddenly disappears?
In this message from the life of Elijah, we see God call an ordinary man to take a courageous stand, walk in obedience even when it doesn’t make sense, and trust God when the brook that sustained him finally runs dry.
Elijah’s story reminds us that a dry season doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve stepped outside of God’s will. Sometimes God uses those seasons to deepen our dependence on Him and prepare us for what comes next. When earthly sources of comfort and security fail, we are reminded that God Himself is our true source of provision, peace, and living water.
Scripture: 1 Kings 17
Key Truth: When the brook runs dry, keep trusting the God who provided the brook.
