Seek Him
Today’s Encouragement is, “Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.” Psalm 105:4 NLT
Seek Him -
"Himself." (excerpt)
By A.B. Simpson
“Once it was the blessing,
now it is the Lord.
Once it was the feeling,
now it is His Word.
Once His gifts I wanted,
now the Giver own.
Once I sought for healing,
now Himself alone.”
Himself Alone. Jesus is Enough.
He has paid the price. He has made us righteous, that is, right with God. He has provided us Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, and the Love of God the Father.
We are in a relationship with Jesus. Please understand that this isn’t an option for those who believe in Jesus as our Lord; it is Truth. We can have a close, growing, even intimate relationship, or it can be cold, idle, apathetic - we choose! Jesus is entirely and perfectly available and willing, and He does not differentiate who is worthy, good enough, or trying hard enough… He loves us all, and perfectly! So, you see, our relationship with Jesus - is up to us.
When we want a relationship to grow, we spend time, ask questions, listen, openly and honestly share our hearts, and are patient with the other person. It’s our choice; it’s up to us.
Father God, help us grow in our relationship with Jesus. Help us to seek Jesus. He is all we need.
