He rewards

Today’s Encouragement is, “Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 11:6b NLT
 
He rewards -
 
You may be surprised, as I was, at the ‘and’ part. 
 
We must believe in Jesus, the Son of God, AND we must also believe that God rewards everyone who sincerely seeks Him.   Wait! Is this saying that faith in Jesus is not enough?  Probably not; perhaps the point is, “What is it that we believe about Jesus?” 
 
We believe:
He lived, died, and rose from the dead…
He is the only begotten Son of God.
He is our only Savior.
He will come again.
Yes! And Amen!  Of course! 
AND (this one more thing)
Do we also believe - 
He rewards those who sincerely seek Him?
 
None of us does anything perfectly. But we can do our best to seek Jesus sincerely!  And as we do, God notices, and He will reward us! 
 
Consider the many verses that teach us about rewards:
 
“Reward” is mentioned six times in Jesus’ great sermon. (Matthew 5-6)
Every kind deed done to honor God will receive a reward. (Mark 9:41)
Our secret prayer is heard and will be rewarded! (Matthew 6:6) 
Anything done to be recognized by others will not get rewarded. (Matthew 6:5)
We are rewarded in heaven, in Eternity, not necessarily in this life. (Matthew 6:19-21) 
 
Thank You, Father, for disclosing this Truth to Your people so that we can begin today, by faith, to believe that You will reward us as we sincerely seek Jesus. Help us seek Jesus and believe in Your reward.
