Unfailing Love
We deserve punishment! But God does not punish us or even deal harshly with us! Please don’t believe the lie that God is punishing you for something/anything - Ever!
Instead, in His unfailing Love, which is immeasurable (the height of the heavens!) He has removed - taken away, cleansed us from… all our sins! And that removal is also immeasurable (east from west!).
Finally, after choosing to forgive and remove our terrible sin in His immeasurable Love… He is tender and compassionate to us!
We may still suffer the painful consequences of our sins. When we commit a crime, we will suffer the consequences. When we speak hurtful words to others, we lose friends or family; our actions have real consequences. But this isn’t God’s punishment! It is the justice (or injustice) of society, or the “reaping of what we sow.” But my friend, God can intervene! He can restore our broken friendship and even bring mercy into the courtroom!
Thank You, Father, for Your immeasurable, unfailing, and even reckless Love, so immense and beyond our complete understanding. Thank You for forgiveness, Your tenderness and compassion for us. Help us to rest in confident assurance of Your Grace and Love.
